The Ankara class light cruiser spring sharp file has been a bit wonky for a while, showing a raised forecastle when in fact its supposed to be a flush deck design. The raised forecastle is only 4.2 feet higher than the rest of the ship! (17.22/21.4), that's even too short for Filipino smoking penguins so I've resimed the ship with a proper flush deck. Its slightly higher at 17.8 feet but the trim/stability/seakeeping are the same, while the hull strength and average freeboard is as near to the o...
Actually I was thinking that the many aircraft being sent by other nations, allies in particular, would be able to airlift in the supplies in and those in medical distress out. At any rate Atlantis will also be sending its own aircraft if needed.
Atlantis can offer a small fleet of auxillary's to deliver food, aid supplies and personnel to assist in rescue efforts. The fleet would consist of the transports Gadir and Tanais to deliver personnel, the LST Lago de Maracaibo and the attack transports General Manuel Cedeno and General Ambrosio Plaza to deliver trucks with supplies. The fleet would also be there to assist other nations helping with the efforts as well. The attack transports would have some medical facilities on board to assist ...
The refit see's them gain 230 tons of Misc. weight and 36 extra 37mm guns. I've messed up on the date of the weapons in the SS file but the 4.1" would be updated mounts as well providing a significant boost to the AA capabilities for these two important vessels.
The Osmanieh and her sister ship, in need of upgrades, will undergo refit to improve their AA and damage control systems as well as add electronics. The plus side is they are converted in a two quarter gap between serious payments for other ships. Looking back at the Turkish navy of 1921 and now, its a huge difference. Many of the older vessels retained despite their extreme age are now gone. Soon only the Museum ships will remain.
