Hunter Class Destroyer

First and foremost I think you can adjust the Length to beam ratio to somethin closer to 10 to 1, anything over has a negative effect on structural strength in springsharp. Try adding 2 feet to the beam. You can also change the Block Coefficient to something like .430.

The Trumpet Class

One last critique, your 38mm guns can be laid out in one slot as they are all side distributed. This could leave a slot open for small arms (50-45 cal.) to use against small boats such as motor torpedo boats that the larger guns would be overkill against.

The Trumpet Class

Also worth trying, any old battleships scrapping can have their guns repurposed for this sort of ship, (9.5", 10", 12") and would make the cost of such units cheaper (though springsharp doesn't recognize the usage of used guns).

The Trumpet Class

Well, as you yourself elude to, the speed is high for a monitor type vessel and I would think slow for a coastal defense battleship (also lacks sufficient main guns to be classed as a coastal defense battleship), 10-15 knots would seem adequate. One thing you might also try is to add some purposely exaggerated bulges to give them greater torpedo protection, these however would reduce the speed of the vessel.

In case anyone is wondering...

I agree, photobucket is garbage with extremely poor customer relations and I've been meaning to swap over to Imgur for some time now.

The Cross-Guard Class

I agree with Brock on all points, though I'd also add any weight savings from reducing the torpedo bulkheads could be added to the Conning tower armor as well, though that may alter your stability somewhat.

SNF Inquebrantable

Out of curiosity are these ships part of a historical world, wesworld or some other alternate history? If historical (or wesworld) these ships would seem under armored and/or undersized given that Jutland would have a major influence on battlecruiser designs. Your 1925 date seems more reasonable given the current specs for the 1930 design but even then maybe a bit under armored. This design is sort of on par with a Renown or Queen Mary design but with smaller guns in a more modern layout.

Blast interference - Help requested

I've read somewhere that delay fuses were also used to delay the firing of center guns in triple turrets that suffered from blast interference, I don't recall the source however.

RSAN units laid down or modified 1945

I'm surprised that the SAE would base its need for super cruisers on British ships but I'm not going to quibble too much about that. I'll say though I'd expect them to build more carriers rather than super cruisers as their carrier fleet is aging rapidly and few replacements are being built. As for Amphibious ships, its not a fad for the SAE to build them, its a necessity for most navies now and it makes sense for the SAE to play catch up in that area.

RSAN units laid down or modified 1945

IMO the Magnificent class are costly and unnecessary, and if built would have actually influenced Atlantean cruiser design significantly (Atlantis is into 1947 and still hasn't built any cruiser larger than 14,000 tons). Only the Chilean, Colombian and Mexican fleets have ships in that weight class, the SAE's more traditional enemies (Brazil and Argentina) have nothing close to this size that isn't a BB or BC so its unclear just why the SAE would need such large cruisers. That said if the SAE di...

Long time no see Hoo! I agree with your post, this sim is time consuming. Another hurtle for me is that Photobucket has turned into a big flaming turd, making it unable to post pictures on this sight which to be honest is half the fun for me. I have tons of drawings and nowhere to post them, I've even tried to save some on facebook without success though I need to continue to explore that option.

French News, 1949

Quoted from "Desertfox" I was just pointing out that back in the day there was no love between Australia and the French-German Alliance. There was even a diplomatic incident after a German overflight of Rabaul. That's why Australia left SEAR in the first place, they had no intentions of fighting in a French war. I don't know what ShinRa's plans or intentions are, but I would assume that the diplomatic incident and Australia leaving SEAR are still relatively recent to at least give the French so...

French News, 1949

Quoted from "Desertfox" I find it interesting that the Australians have been completely ignored. They have no love for either side, but they can be a very big wildcard right next door to the French islands. How so? I'm not sure if that's a threat or a hint about cooperation.

Another option would be to treat Army and Air stuff the same as naval stuff and have infrastructure, tech development and production reports. We could use a pre made tech tree and currency to research the respective tech. Once researched it can be used/built. I'm not asking for an overly complicated system but something dummed down so that any player can use it. When you have to pay for stuff it becomes less casual, which would solve our realism problem with reguards to tiny nations developing b...

New Thai Designs

Bruce is correct, posting in the ship designs forum first is usually the informal protocol for new designs and is a good way to iron out all the bugs and deficiencies in a design with constructive criticism and advice. Also don't forget to check out the gentlemen's rules as well (in rules and admin page).
